Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Memoory is a mobile application that lets you capture, store, and share personal memories with private groups called circles. The app is developed and operated by a small team based in Spain.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the information you provide directly:

• Account information: your name and email address when you register
• Profile photo: an optional photo you choose to upload
• Memories: the text, voice transcriptions, and photos you save in the app
• Circle data: the names of circles you create and the members you invite
• Comments and reactions: interactions you make on memories within your circles

We do not collect location data, contact lists, browsing history, or any data from other apps on your device.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the Memoory service:

• To display your memories and circles within the app
• To share memories with the circle members you choose
• To send you the daily "Memory of the Day" notification
• To notify you when someone reacts or comments on your memories
• To maintain your account and authenticate your sessions

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

4. Who can see your memories

Memoory is built around private circles — you always control who sees what:

• Just me: only you can see this memory
• Circle members: only the people you've invited to a circle can see memories shared in it
• Memoory team: we can access data only when strictly necessary to resolve technical issues, and never for any other purpose

We never make your memories public or visible to anyone outside your circles.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We use row-level security policies to ensure database access is strictly controlled — each user can only access data they're authorized to see.

Photos and media are stored in secure cloud storage with access restricted to authorized users only.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a memory, it is permanently removed from our servers. If you delete your account, all your personal data — including memories, profile information, and circle memberships — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Third-party services

Memoory uses a small number of third-party services to operate:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage
• Expo: app distribution and push notifications

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not share your data with any advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics companies.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your memories at any time

9. Children's privacy

Memoory is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. Your continued use of Memoory after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
